Speak Out, Stay Safe’ volunteer
Do you believe that safeguarding children is important? That might be a slightly ‘daft’ question as I’m sure we all do. So, if you’d like to help protect children from abuse and neglect, could you become a ‘Speak Out, Stay Safe’ volunteer and visit primary schools in your local area, to deliver workshops that teach children about the different types of abuse and how they can speak out and stay safe. The workshops are age appropriate and memorable and need an energetic and enthusiastic person to deliver them. You’ll receive lots of initial training and will work alongside another volunteer to make sure that by the end of the session, children feel empowered and know who they can speak to if they are worried. This role is a big commitment but is also very rewarding if you’re someone who feels comfortable talking to large groups. So if you’d like to know more, then contact us for further information.
