Support Group volunteers
A support group which helps people affected by suicide is looking for volunteers for a range of roles. They need people to help to support them to deliver their peer support groups, which include; Wednesday afternoon mental health peer support group, suicide bereavement support group, walk ‘n talk groups. They need people who are willing to support others, whilst there will also be some setting up and clearing away. They particularly require anyone that feels competent and confident to facilitate / lead discussions. They also need help with admin, someone who can help with emails, updating the website, write / update social media posts, writing documents and policies. If they manage to gain volunteers, especially ones who feel able to lead discussions, they can start other smaller more focused groups, such as; Women only, Men only, 18 – 35, parents group, more walk ‘n talks.
