Worcester Community Action works with fundraising platform easyfundraising to enable voluntary organisations CICs, social enterprises and voluntary groups in our area to receive funding from online retailers.
They have already enabled community groups and good causes to raise over £35m, and are keen to get more voluntary organisations on board and utilising their free service.
How it works
You, your staff, volunteers and supporters can all raise free donations for your organisation simply by shopping online with all their favourite retailers. All you need to do is start your shopping journey at the easyfundraising website or app and the retailer you shop with will send your organisation a donation based on how much you spend. This will not cost you anything extra as the retailer pays the donation, not the shopper.
There are over 5,000 stores involved, including John Lewis, M&S, eBay, Amazon, Trainline, Booking.com, Groupon, and more.
Every 3 months your organisation receives all the donations raised by your supporters, which you can put towards a particular project; or keep for a rainy day. These are unrestricted funds so you can use them as you wish.
It is a simple and effective way of generating a steady stream of income throughout the year, which can complement your existing fundraising efforts and can run in the background while you concentrate on your day-to-day tasks.
